Slipway Cleaning - Volunteers needed for 2026!

Paul Blanchard, our co-ordinator of slipway cleaning, has made this appeal to members:

Hi everyone,

My thanks to the 12 different members that have carried out slipway cleaning duties in 2025. Several have volunteered multiple times. October's slipway cleaning will be the last for 2025; we already have the necessary 3 volunteers for that date.

However, the 2026 slipway cleaning schedule will start just before the first of the launch activities in March 2026. The schedule can be found on the website in the calendar, click on 'Slipway Cleaning' and you can see the schedule. If you select one of the scheduled dates, you will see who has already volunteered for that duty and how many volunteer slots are still available.

Please check the website calendar for the 2026 dates and consider if you could fill an empty volunteer slot. When spread across a team of 3 it's not arduous and is a good opportunity to chat with other members over the provided tea and biscuits.
