Mooring Requests and Preferences
A Mooring Preferences Application may be submitted for any of these reasons;
- To request a mooring for a boat that is new to POG (once the boat has been registered)
- To update the existing mooring location preferences for a boat
- To indicate whether a Sublet would, or would not, be acceptable
- To request a change of berth at the current mooring location
The
Mooring Preferences Application takes the form of an imaginary Bookable Event for which a virtual 'ticket' is 'purchased' (at no cost). When the ticket is 'purchased', a form appears to allow your mooring preferences to be captured.
Note;
- Mooring Preferences Applications can be made at any time of the year. Only one event ticket can be 'purchased' in the current year, but moorings preferences can be changed at any time through My Bookings and selecting 'update choices' for the Moorings Preferences Application ticket.
- You should continue to re-submit your Mooring Preferences Application every year between April and October with your updated requirements until you have been allocated a mooring you are content with.
- If a berth holder is content with their current mooring, they should NEVER submit a Mooring Preferences Application. The Mooring Preference Application is NOT the process by which members do their annual moorings renewal (which is through 'My renewals'), nor is it the process for applying for a winter berth.
- Mooring preferences may be submitted by any one of the co-owners of the boat, but the Mooring Holder is preferred. It is important than multiple mooring preferences are not submitted by different co-owners.
POG members must fully understand the rules and responsibilities associated with holding a mooring and be aware that a mooring offer can be withdrawn if there are significant breeches of such rules.
